You can prefix any search term with a plus (+) to indicate that the term must be in the results.
Example: if you search for "+stone +circle", you will match any records that have both terms present. If you search for "+stone circle", you will match any records that have both terms present or only "stone", but not only "circle."
You can prefix any search term with a minus (-) to indicate that the term must not be present.
Example: if you search for "stone -circle", you will match all records that have "stone" in the comments but not "circle"
Wildcard characters are used to capture plurals and variations of words.
? will match zero or one character.
* will match zero or more characters.
You can combine all of the features together.
Example: "stone* +circ* -crop" would search for records that match any word starting with "stone" (such as stones, stonework, etc) and any word starting with "circ" but that do not contain the word "crop".

Valid page ranges are 1-742. The titles Stainforth owned are listed within pages 1-509. Pages 510-742 comprise his “Wants” list or wish list.
Enter years with four digits, e.g. 1843. If only one year is specified, then only records matching that year will be returned. Otherwise, records that fall within the specified range of years will be returned. The catalog contains records that span the years 1546 to 1866.
This retrieves entries with any kind of strikethrough, deletion mark, or cross-out for a partial entry or an entire entry in the catalog. For entries in the Wish List, the strikethrough usually means that Stainforth acquired the work. It may then have an entry in the Holdings section of the catalog, as well.
